DISCLAIMERS:
- Not all pitching injuries can be avoided using the LiVE ARM
- LiVE ARM has been validated to evaluate fatigue in pitchers between ages 14 and 55
- LiVE ARM generates data that becomes more consistent and accurate with repeated use.
- Pitchers with a baseline measurement below 15 lbs will be more difficult to assess for fatigue using the LiVE ARM. This is due to the inherent variability of strength measurements being a larger percentage of the player’s strength.
- Pitchers with a history of prior shoulder or elbow surgery have greater injury risks than other pitchers. To date there has not been enough data from this cohort of pitchers to know if using the LiVE ARM will predict injury risk.
- If a pitcher experiences pain using the live arm device, it has to date always been the same pain that the pitcher experiences when pitching. This warrants an evaluation by a medical professional.
